What to Submit

Submit a project pitch video with voice-over in the following format:

  • Video format: mp4
  • Max video length: 3 minutes
  • Resolution: 1920x1080

In the project pitch video session, your video will be just played, and you won't be able to speak over the video.

Title Slide

Start your video with a title slide.

  • Download the template and fill in your project information.
  • Show the title slide at least 5 seconds at the beginning (you can start your narration from the title slide).
  • Add your photo and change the layout of the title slide.
  • Check out your project ID in Discord.

Content

Include the followings in your video:

Research Track

  • Motivation (Not your personal motivation but why the research is needed.)
  • Problem definition
  • Previous work
  • Novelty and technical contributions of the proposed idea
  • Key technical ideas
  • Experiment plans including datasets, evaluation metrics, and baseline methods.
  • Timeline (Be specific.)

Development Track

  • Motivation (Not your personal motivation but why the research is needed.)
  • Problem definition
  • Key technical ideas
  • Experiment plans including datasets, evaluation metrics, and baseline methods.
  • Expected challenges in the implementation
  • Timeline (Be specific.)

Video Capture/Editing Tools

  • Powerpoint slide show recording
  • Zoom recording
  • Adobe premiere (Download from KFTP)
  • OBS studio

These are 5-minute long videos, and you need to prepare a 3-minute long video.
(But you don't need to show any experimental results.)

Penalty

  • No submission: 10% penalty in the project evaluation. (There is no late day.)
  • Wrong format: 5% penalty in the project evaluation. Wrong format includes:
    • wrong video file format,
    • wrong video resolution,
    • no narrration,
    • exceeding the allocated time, and
    • missing any components in the content.

Award

You will be asked to vote for the best project pitch.
The best pitch will be awarded up to a 5% bonus in the project evaluation.
